Unable to get FDN Pin Code for HTC Dream

I am using HTC Dream. In this particular phone I am missing Fixed Dialing which I was having in my old phone. Do you know any faster way to call people? Quickest way that I am aware of adding shortcut to contact on the homepage. Still I need to click on the same and make a call. Do you know anything which will help me to resolve the issue?

After going through the problem I recommend that you should get AnyCut from the Android market. you can make shortcut such as any number or sending of SMS. You should press and open the area in Home and from menu you have to select AnyCut from Shortcut heading.

Ok thanks a lot for the prompt reply. I tried to resolve the by means of AnyCut but it did not worked for me. after checking the setting of the phone I came to knew that FDN was disabled on my phone. I tried to enable FDN it but found that it was asking for a Pin Code. But I am not aware of pin code.
