No sound in Dell Vostro 1500(windows xp)

I have been using Dell Vostro 1500 and everything was working fine as well but then now after installing windows xp on it I have found that the Volume tab of sound and audio device it is displaying No Audio Device", I have been checking out for the supported drivers but then I am not able to find them out, is there anyone who can provide me with the required drivers.

I have checked out for your system and I have found that it is having Sigmatel sound system, you can just follow the solution that has been mentioned in the below article:

just check it out and then let me know with the result that you get.

I have now followed the steps that has been mentioned in the above article and I am sure that I had not missed anything and I have also downloaded the Sigmatel drivers from dell but then the problem is that when I am trying to install then I am getting an error message saying "This is not the correct audio drivers for this system" and sometimes it says exist, I have tried doing the whole process several times but then it is just not making any difference and I am still having the same issue, what should I do know???

If that’s not helping them you can just Google out the below driver:
Dell Sigmatel STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio Driver - 4.78 / 6
Now from the search result get the drivers from the downloadssource site and then check if you are able to install it or not, just try it out and then let me know what you get.

You can try out the above one very well but then if it did not helps then you can to the below page:

After that just select the windows xp in the dropdown box and then you will get the R158235 (5.10.0.5511, A09) and R171789 (5.10.0.5515_RC22-WHQL, A11 which are the drivers for your model.
So just try out these drivers and see which possible one is helping you out, I think that one of these will definitely end the issue. Best of luck.
