Can iBooks read Adobe DRM ePubs iPad?

I wanted to purchase some book which are listed as that of Adobe DRM ePubs. I wanted to know whether it will work on the iPad of mine. I noticed that iPad is not available in the compatible devices. If you know anything about that then feel free to post over here.

As far as I know it won’t work on the iBook app. Because iBooks is having support for drm scheme which has been owned by Apple. However you can rip the drm and it will work on the iBook so I don’t think so there will not be any problem.

You are right and I totally agree with you. iBooks has been developed to work on both iPad as well as iPhone. It can read non-DRM ePub and PDF. Also it can run Apple DRM ePub files but it will not read Adobe DRM ePubs. If I am not wrong there will be many other apps available in the market for iPad which you can use to read the various kind of DRM files. I recommend that you should go for Txtr in order to read Adobe DRM ePubs.

It supposed to work fine if you have purchased the title. Well it is having time-limited titles as that of library books. Overdrive is having their own app for the Apple devices. You can go for Bluefire Reader which will support for Adobe Adept DRM and limited DRM. It is available for iOS and Android.

many reading apps say that they can read Adobe DRM ebooks, but most of them can't do that at all.
as far as i know, the most rational way is stripping the DRM first.
