For contacts I found a free solution but it is only for iPhone:
    • Export of contacts in vcf
    • Convert the contacts format "gmail" using online converter vcard
    • Import it (or them) adds files to the "contact" with a Gmail account
    • Synchronize the account with the iphone

The Windows version of The Missing Sync for iPhone makes it easy to transfer contacts / calendar from a BlackBerry, Palm OS, and Windows Mobile or Symbian smartphone on 'iPhone. The Missing Sync for iPhone is a suite of tools to manage the data transmission to the iPhone. This toolkit allows you to do:
    • Transfer data and synchronize handheld / mobile-pc-iPhone
    • Organization and research notes
    • SMS log
    • Call log

Re: How to transfer Palm data to smartphone

After extensive research and disappointments i finally found a way to easily transfer contacts and calendar from Palm Desktop to Google (and continue to the Android-Smartphone). The Palm support gave me the link to CompanionLink. There's a free trial version, it must be installed on the same computer that also runs Palm Desktop (all entries independently obtained from the database). This program has transferred all my 350 contacts and 1800 calendar notes easily.

If there is actually a hefty of useful info stored in your old Palm OS device, then it is really recommended you to make use of Dba2Csv and Palm2Google. It does not look pretty good and it is not cheap but it can do most of the job which you need at the moment. Also you don’t need to worry about converting your data. It will get a simplest and quickest solution
