webcam has stopped working in Toshiba A305-S6872

In my Toshiba A305-S6872 laptop webcam has suddenly stopped working. When I open Skype messenger in my laptop and try to use webcam at that time webcam does not work. I don’t know what is wrong with my laptop. When i open camera assistant software that time it shows that Camera has stopped working. What should I do to solve this problem?

Well according to me you have to first open device manager in your Toshiba A305-S6872 laptop and after opening the device manager in your laptop you have to check whether Webcam is listed there or not? if webcam is not listed then it might be hardware related problem and if it is listed then you have to right click on webcam device and then click on update drivers and then your problem will get solved.

You have to look in the Imaging devices in device manager and see whether there is a webcam or not. if it is not there then you have to click on view option and then click on show hidden devices and then check whether webcam device will appear or not? I am telling you this because in my laptop I was also experiencing the same problem and then when I click on show hidden device at that time was able to see webcam device with yellow exclamation mark and then I have reinstalled the drivers and my problem get solved.

You should also try this solution and then your problem will get solved.

Hello friends I am using same laptop and having same problem with webcam. In device manager webcam is not listed. While searching in internet I have come to know that I have to install Utility for webcam and but I don’t know from where to download utility. Please tell me from where I can get utility?
