Lenovo ThinkPad T420 is having dark spot on the screen

I have been using Lenovo ThinkPad T420 and everything was working fine by now but then today I have found that there is a dark spot on the screen and as far as I can guess it might have happened from exposure to the sunlight, I just wanted to know if I can claim for warranty if not then can I change the screen to IPS, is there anyone who can clear my doubts??

I don’t think that it will be covered under the warranty, you should better contact the Lenovo support and check out what they have to say about the same, they will help you with your IPS doubt as well.
