Why Apple iPhone is Made in China, not US

Many people have doubt that why IPhones are made in china. It is not only about the Apple products but it is about most other major manufactures also. Some assumed that it is due to the cheap labor cost and other says that it is due to the type of expertise that is readily available there. Lots people blaming apple over this, since the technology is readily available on US, why manufactures buying products from somewhere else?

The truth is that most of the iPhone is Made in the U.S.A. However a report showed that only about “$10 or may be less goes to labor wage on iPhone or iPad is paid to Chinese workers.” So the point is that if apple manufacture its products, components in China, there is a huge benefit for US economy since apple can continue it work on product design, software, management, marketing and additional high-wage functions within the U.S only., not China.

Here the China’s role is as an assembler.

For Apple, the China is not only about cost, but about flexibility, scale, efficiency etc. If the Chinese government support huge amounts of subsidies, the Chinese business partners can hold the supply chain with the American corporations by making it impossible to have factory of its own. Asia a natural choice for apple as well as many other major tech manufacturers in order to build components and mobile parts.

Nowadays you might know that U.S suffering from a very tricky relationship with China. Everyone knows that China has the world largest and the best tech manufacturing companies but everything under the control of government censorship. This makes a critical relationship with other tech manufacturers all over the world who rely on china based companies. No company can dare to go against the Chinese government policy and censorship.

Other than china, I didn’t see any place where you can build or buy modern smartphone or tablet as cheaply in the world. Massive factories like Foxconn is working on scale of developing very cheap, easy and reliable components which are very complicated to comprehend
