How to develop Home screen widgets for Symbian Belle

I wanna know is it possible to develop home screen application by QtQuick/QML?If yes then how should I use the Home Screen Publishing API in QT. With the thinness on the home screen widgets in Symbian Belle, I think the QML would be best . I know it may be a simple task for many of you but yet a tough stuff for me.please assist me with this i would be very glad me n thank in advance.

Well as far as I know some Qt application can make use of the Home Screen Publishing API to send data to a home screen widget. however it is not cross-platform (HSWidget is part of Symbian^3). Seems we have to stay with it, unless a Qt API is accessible.

Building:

1. Just prior to set the hspublisher you must copy library with headers from Nokia phone SDK into the Qt SDK /epoc32 tree
2. Compile with Qt SDK 1.1.3 for Symbian 5th ed SDK (abld toolchain).
3. This build will not work whit the the sbs2 toolchain (S^1 SDK) for some reason

Other notes:

1. Qt Mobility is utilized for getting the signal strength (minimize the dependency on Symbian C++ APIs like CTelephony).
2. No capabilities are needed . Signed sis is available as a featured download , or below the Files tab.
3. There will be few issue with the upcoming Symbian Belle.
4. QML is utilized for UI however is not connected with HSWidgets functionality.
