MAXX battery kit for Motorola RAZR

Does anyone know when Motorola RAZR users will be able to buy a MAXX battery kit? I think it has larger battery and even bigger kevlar backing .Do we have to pay more to get that kit? It should be available in low cost and every user should easily be able to install that kit on their mobile too. I have seen guide for dissembling the back of the phone. With this kit battery removal and replacement will be very easy.

The guide you have seen is not “how to” guide for replacing your mobile battery but just an attempt made by some guy to peek inside the phone. The Droid RAZR battery is not serviceable. This guide you have seen , is luring many users around to try that replacement of battery. This is not possible yet and this battery upgrade is not provided by the Motorola phone company. And if in the future Motorola releases the replaceable battery it will only be replaceable/serviced by the Motorola service centre only.

The guide that you are talking about has provided with the instructions below that though they have provided the instructions it won’t be an easy task for replacing the battery. This will also be not supported by the Motorola phones!

If you have nails then you can easily remove the back of the phone with one hand. After removing it there you will have only two screws to remove the battery. Though it will depend on the individuals and their way of thinking. Even if you succeed in doing that you will lose the warranty of your mobile. If it is not possible then it may be due to the difference in internal components between original razr and MAXX battery kit.

Any mobile manufacturer will not provide any upgrade that will void your warranty. Motorola has already said that this is not a user serviceable battery. There is another company which is suggesting that they have their extended battery compatible for this mobile. This battery comes with back cover but it looks like cheap plastic. Motorola not yet intending to provide any user replaceable kit for their mobiles so you should wait for confirmation from company or check their official websites for any information.
