Is Nokia N9 supports Java MIDP 2.1?

Is Nokia N9 having support for Java MIDP 2.1?????? I searched on the Google and found that it is having support for Java MIDP 2.1. on some sites it is mentioned that it is having support for JavaScript?. Now you all guys tell me what is truth????

As far as I know Nokia N9 is having support for Java MIDP 2.1. But still you wanted to confirm than you can look at the offical website or directly ask to Nokia Care people about the above mentioned thing.

I am not having idea regarding Nokia N9. But I think it will be same as that of Nokia N900. N900 is not having support for J2ME. However its having MicroEmulator available in respositires. Where you can run some J2ME application. I doubt that ME will run all kind of midlets. I used some of them without having much trouble. I am assuming that porting of some of JVM to N9 could be possible. Until and unless security feature of N9 will restrict to do so.

I am sure about the thing that Java SE 7 can run on the Nokia N9. But don't know about Java MIDP 2.1.

If you wanted to run Java MIDP2.1 on Nokia N9 then you should perform following steps.

• You should install Java SE on the device.
• Aftera that you have to download MicroEmulator from the offical website.
• You have to unzip it and copy directory on Nokia N9 .
• In order to run MicroEmulator you have to run following command

• $ cd ~/Java/

• $ java -jar microemulator-3.0.0/microemulator.jar
