I don’t think that there is much diffence between the both rather than just the processor and the os, I have found that the aakash tablet is having 366 Mhz atom processor, 256MB RAM where as the ubislate 7 which is also known as Aakash 2 is having Microprocessor - Cortex A8 – 700 Mhz and 256 MB RAM, 2GB internal (on board) storage. The aakash tablet is having Android 2.2 and the ubislate 7 is having Android OS 2.3 (gingerbread). As far as the price is concerned there will be a difference of 200 rs to 400 rs and not more than that.

No it is also possible in aakash tablet as well even it is having a slot to insert SIM, you just have to get a sim and using the same you can make call, send sms and even use the internet like in other smartphones, In ored to make voice calls we can just make use of the headphones. Hope that helps.

I was not aware of this difference between them I think that I should have waited for the ubislate but then I was curious to get it, as I had heard that they are limited and are available mostly for the college students, Anyways I will try out the Ubislate 7 as well.
