Unable to use SATA switch on Xbox 360 Slim

Well I am looking to get a SATA switch for Slim Xbox of mine. right now I am looking to use 6 pole double throw switch. In which four poles are supposed to be used for the SATA wires in order to switch DVD SATA between XBOX motherboard and eSATA port. The 5th pole can be used for the unlock/lock the MXIC DVD board and 6th one can be used to switch LED on and off in order to indicate the Flash Mode. Any suggestion on the same will be highly appreciated.

I came across the same problem, in flash mode I connected DVD to the motherboard and after that power up the gaming console but there was nothing on the screen. It became normal when the I go for the regular mode. Also everything was seems to normal when I put the regular SATA cable.
Only thing I can wonder that the wire length and lack of the shielding over that particular length degrading the singnal quality making the gaming console not to put the data in the proper manner to the DVD driver which you are using. ‘

I could not get idea of having multiple switches. 1 input 2 outputs hence there would be 3 connection for the every single point. If I am not wrong you are simply activating eSata or disableing rather you should enable the Xbox 360 DVD connection.

It’s a 6PDT switch and it is having one input between of two outputs of 6 wires. Currently it seems to wired with DVD as input and one output of motherboard and the 2nd output is connected. I should try using better shielded wires and in case it is working than I will update about the same. apart from that if you are having any idea regarding above mentioned thing tell me about the same.

Make sure that connections should not be reversed whenever you are using the switch. If you have reversed then try with the flipping the switches when connecting at the end.

You can arrange the pin in the following manner.

    SWITCH OFF SWITCH ON
    [Normal mode] [Flash mode]
    __________________________
    |2 - 1 11 - 10 |2 - 3 11 - 12 |
    |5 - 4 14 - 13 |5 - 6 14 - 15 |
    |8 - 7 17 - 16 |8 - 9 17 - 18 |
    ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
So according to that, the connector should go like this, or similar.
    PIN 1 - Xbox M/B Pin Pin 1
    PIN 4 - Xbox M/B Pin Pin 2
    PIN 7 - Xbox M/B Pin Pin 3
    PIN 10 - Xbox M/B Pin Pin 4
    PIN 2 - Xbox DVD Pin 1
    PIN 5 - Xbox DVDPin 2
    PIN 8 - Xbox DVD Pin 3
    PIN 11 - Xbox DVD Pin 4
    PIN 3 - E SATA Pin 1
    PIN 6 - E SATA Pin 2
    PIN 9 - E SATA Pin 3
    PIN 12 - E SATA Pin 4
PIN 14 - LED Neg pin
PIN 15 - LED Pos pin
    PIN 17 - DVD Unlock pin 1
    PIN 18 - DVD Unlock pin 2

    PINS 13 + 16 unused
It should be E-sata and after that unlock dvd and also light up the LED. After that you should back to 'off' and switch back to the internal dvd. After that lock DVD and turn off LED.

Could be an issue with the 3 ground pins? What I would like to comment that you should skip those 3 ground pins and see does it make the difference into the signal strength. Is there any Wi-Fi connection? If so you should disable the same and since it could interfere with dvd sata signal .
