no emails in hotmail account of iOS5 iphone4

i was using the previous version of iphone and then decided to make a up-gradation to iOS5 and at the time of checking my my hotmail account it came to my notice that there was only last 4 emails storage as i was confirmed that there were many more. i don't have an idea about this as the last 4 emails just vanishes from the phone and when i checked them in the trash, they were unable to locate. what could be the possible reason. i need to know about this.

i had a similar issue in this case. i was unable to see not more than 5 emails and that was not of any use. but here, i should say that you should have a check on your Hotmail account set up whether it being a POP or ActiveSync .

i don't have a actual idea of it whether it is POP or ActiveSync . to my consideration , i suppose it should be pop and if you provide some further settings for the same then i will be able to conclude in the final. if you give solution for the both it will be well and good as i am not sure of it being pop or ActiveSync . thanks.

i will provide some settings to be made so that you are able to view all the emails .

1. go in the Settings.
2. then in the Mail, contacts and calendars.
3. approach towards the Hotmail account and then finally
4. Mail days to sync
5. finally set it as No limit.

this will enable you ti have a view of all the mails you received.

generally this problems occurs when you make some settings in the POP or ActiveSync and there is a option for emails view which enables user to view only the first 4 mails. if you wish to see the other remaining mails there is a setting provided which does the work. according to my consideration , i think it will work in both the cases whether it may be your pop or other thing.
