Change the internal hard drive on your mac is really easy if you have the right stuff. you can change your memory cards and it's super easy. and one more thing is: for this you need a lion installed in you system and need less than 2gb of ram in your 2008.

i must say that, just do a full backup before doing anything. If you have an external hard drive then to make a time machine backup. iFixit is very reliable. Then install the CDs with the purchase it was the new OSX and simply play the TimeMachine backup.

the installation is quite simple, you just need a screwdriver matching. To create a backup, I would also recommend Time Machine. All you need is an external drive, or you can connect your new one, somehow as I said through USB. If you do the backup on external, you can then use the installation CD at the MACOS simply select the backup, it copies everything and your system is 1:1 as it was before. Has worked out great for me.

here i also have some question about the same. Is it possible to install an SSD in mac 2008 model easily without damaging the guarantee, is there a big difference with a 7200 RPM HDD? Is it necessary to replace the 4GB of ram with 8GB is that makes a difference? And what do you think, is this machine use for gaming?

an SSD is much more responsive, fast, and makes no noise compared to a 7200 rev / min. Yes you can run games, even new but do not expect any configuration has pushed funds.
