See in z2 motherboards only mPCI-e can be used for an eGPU that is the one of the WLAN. It is really inconvenient to have the laptop always opened for eGPU.
For completing the setup you will need following:
1. A mini-HDMI to mini-HDMI coupler (female/female)
2. A PM3N from hwtools
3. A small and flat mini-HDMI wire (hopefully I can get a smaller)
4. A longer one (60cm)
After you have all the required components follow these steps:
1. Remove vga connector + socket and move the Intel WLAN the WWAN socket.
2. Cut the PM 3N to half then plug it to the WLAN mPCI-e.
3. Here is the mini-hdmi to mini-hdmi (female/ female) it’s cheap and can be found on eBAY.
Make custom eGPU HDMI ready port.:
1. Remove the vga wire and socket. The purpose is to only keep its metallic surrounding structure.
2. Carve the mini-HDMI coupler to adapt it for the vga metallic case
3. Insert and stuck the mini HDMI coupler into VGA metallic case.
My have been suffering from lot of problems in my laptop, may be because of boot failure. I have also tried eGPU setup for booting, but rarely goes correct . Most of the time windows fails to start up if I switch off dGPU. So I decided to format my HDD reinstall the whole windows from the beginning. I just want to make sure about a few things in order not to have the same issue again.
I just want you to check whether I am going right or not!Can I use the latest Nvidia drivers, 285,62 for both GPUs? First install for dGPU I guess and then the desktop one, right? Do I need to install both drivers?

Do I use the eGPU setup correctly?
1. when it starts, I go to the main menu version
2. switch off the dGPU
3. click f3
4. chainload windows 7
5. plug eGPU in the very momet when windows starts
Note: 1 sec earlier or later causes the freeze.
Is it the correct way or do I have to try anything else?there is also another problem , if I start the window with dGPU on, there is not enough memory for the eGPU. If I start without the dGPU (but don't plug in the eGPU yet) it starts without Nvidia driver, so no chance to plug in the eGPU later (in sleep or hibernated).
