What is that next to LED in blackbeRry bold 9790

Hi, i know this should be a dumb question but still i am quite confused about this thing. I got my blackberry bold 9790 couple of days back and If you look carefully next to LED to the left there is another circular opening which looks to be a lens of various sort? Is there anybody having same phone? can they observe that? Could it be a front facing camera? I'd say its a light sensor by my 9780 didn't have that (or perhaps it did and I never become aware of). Any suggestion will be appreciated.

see i am not getting what exactly you are talking about the phone, it would be better if you simply mentioned the screen shots over here so that i could understand properly and could suggest you something regarding the device.

As far as i know that thing is a proximity sensor in your phone, according to bold 9790 is dissimilar from bold 9780 in that it has a touch screen. while you accept up the phone to communicate whilst the screen is on, your cheek might tap somewhere in the screen and might cause unintentional action. Proximity sensor detects that your phone is imminent close to your face and shut the screen off.
