From the past several months i am using the Acer Aspire 6930G for all of my purposes. Recently i have upgraded the GPU of this laptop sucessfully and it is running excellent. Right now i am thinking about upgrading the CPU also. Can anyone suggest me on this? Because i dont have any idea about it and dont know which processor is the suitable to upgrade if so.

You can take for example a P9500. There go all P9x00 processors that have a power dissipation of 25W.

The T-models with 35W would go well but consumes more power and are not fast ...

But remember to use a good thermal paste which is detrimental in any way.

Yesterday I have installed the CPU. Laptop booted into the BIOS has detected the same time, and behold it. I only have the problem that the laptop jerky and the CPU utilization to nearly 100% permanently. I've downloaded the latest BIOS version on the Acer website and immediately flashed. Then threw a little better, but still not optimal.

According to Intel specification Intel Mobile Core2Duo CPU, the P8800 working - the only question is whether Acer has anchored this CPU in the BIOS? Also the CPU Intel Mobile Core2Duo T9600 should work according to Intel specifications - TDP as the Intel Mobile Core2Duo T6400 = 35 watts - even here, the question arises as to the anchorage in the BIOS?

Re: Acer Aspire 6930G CPU upgrade

I've just noticed that the VID Voltage Range is too low. Which should be around 1.05V-1.2125V. Habs with Core Temp read out times and there is 0.9 V. In addition, the CPU runs at only 797.91MHz (132.99x6.0). An Intel Core i7 processor is excluded in a notebook Acer Aspire 6930 G, there would be such a processor to another base and thus require a different motherboard. This is a so-called "killer criteria". Whether to upgrade the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB is possible, could - to my knowledge - not yet be clarified.
