BIOS MOD for Acer Aspire TimelineX 1810tz/1410/1810t(Insyde)

Till Now I haven’t seen modded BIOS for 1810tz/1410/1810t.I don't know how to unlock hidden menus in the BIOS, but I did manage to mod the DSDT table to add extra brightness levels. I have tested my modded BIOS on 1410 and it works huge in Ubuntu Linux.

It’s good to see that someone Is modding the 1410 bios’ want mod to increase vram for 4500MHD to 128 or 2560. I require for adobe and few old games. I don’t expect performance improvement thought.

Follow this steps

1. Turn on computer and right away press F2 to dig up into BIOS setup.
2. Once in setup, make use of arrow keys to navigate to Security tab. There you will observe User Access Level. Use 
arrow keys to navigate to it, then hit Enter key and select full. Hit Enter.
3. make use of arrow keys to navigate to advanced tab. There you go down to Video Configuration and hit Enter. How,

This bios mod works. Tested it on my 1410 su2300. distorted the IGD - Pre-allocated Memory to 384mb. CPU doesn’t make use of the full 4 GB anyway.

I’m not convinced I did it precisely as you have scheduled the steps, nevertheless I alter the access level to FULL and alter the IGP memory to 128 MB AND also distorted the DVMT to 384 MB.

Yes I have distorted the alternative in all the areas after a full examination of the unlocked bios features. What I am trying to say is even though the settings can be distorted in the BIOS the Actual RAM allocated to the IGP is not altering in realism.

IGP setting works. You can observe the alter within Intel driver (Options and Support->Information Center->Minimal Graphics Memory) although still no GPU acceleration on Adobe software’s.

i am also facing exactly similar trouble. i spoke to acer support people. explained them entire scenario. i am just waiting for acer reply. Hope they fix this problem soon.
