Want to upgrade to 6 cell battery in Acer Aspire One D257

As I have recently bought the Acer Aspire One D257 for myself. The laptop features is good and meet my requirements, but the thing is that the laptop battery does not give proper back up. As I travel a lot and cannot charge the laptop every now and then. So I would like to know how can I extend my battery life as one of my friend suggested me that upgrading to the 6 cell will able to extend my laptop battery life, so would like to know from you all.. So is there anyone who can suggest me how can I extend the battery life in the Acer aspire one D257.

I too have purchased the laptop and what I saw is that the laptop battery drains out within an hour. So even I would like to extend the battery life of my laptop. But I don’t have the idea to extend the battery life what should I do as I’m new to such kind a thing and don’t have much knowledge about this. Can anyone help me with this?

If you want to extend the battery life in the Acer D257 laptop then you can do it by upgrading your 3 cell battery to the 6 cell battery. As doing this will help you to get more battery life. As I have done the same with the sony laptop, previously the battery consisted with the 3 cell and I upgraded with the 6 cell. After doing this I find the laptop is giving goo battery life as earlier it was only able to give 1-1.5 hr but after upgrading to the 6 cell it is giving 3-3.5 hr. So I can say that if you want good battery life in your laptop then try upgrading with the 6 cell battery.

As you are saying this that upgrading the battery life to the 6 cell will able to give good backup in the laptop. But I would like to know which will be the best 6 cell battery to buy and around what price will the battery be available.

As far as I know what is the exact price for the acer 6 cell batteries but here are some of the batteries which you get replaced with.

Actually I recently upgraded to the 6 cell battery and after fully charging the battery I see the laptop giving better battery backup.
