how to unbrick LG Optimus Black P970?

HI, i wanted unbrick the phone, is there anyone have tried this ever with their phone, please let me know how can i do that, any suggestion will be appreciated.

yeah off course you can do this, but still i would like to make you aware as all the data will be wiped out thus make a backup first so that if anything happens wrong you can recover the original data. and especially i am not responsible for anything happened with your P970, thus try at your own risk.

First of all i would like to tell you the things that you have to have,

• Drivers for P970;
  
  
• KDZ_FW_UPD_EN
  
  
• UpTestEX_mod2_marwin
  
  
• WindowsEnablerv1.1

You can download all this things from here.

Start from here if it's first time (no drivers installed, etc):

1. Install all drivers (from Drivers folder that you can from rar file given);
   
   
2. Disable LGE Virtual Modem
   Control Panel >> System >> Hardware >> Device Manager

And you should start from here if drivers already installed:

1. Run msxml.msi you can find it in KDZ_FW_UPD folder in the given rar file.
   
   
2. Delete mfc42.dll from KDZ_FW_UPD folder
   
   
3. Run WindowsEnabler.exe and set it to ON;
   
   
4. Run UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe;
   
   
5. now you have to set your phone to Software Upgrade mode and while doing this take out battery, while pressing Volume Up, plug USB cable.
   
   
6. Select KDZ file that you can download from here.
   
   
7. Click "CSE web upgrade test", then click on "Upgrade Start".

Once you do this you need to chose your language and wait till phone restarts. It will take few minutes and could look like nothing is going on. And suppose you find the mentioned below screen after some moment, it means everything went OK.

it seems like we can unbrick the phone which must be having CM7 brick, isn’t it? So can i test the same though i am having another kernel?

Hey thanks for the suggestion dude, as i have tried it with my mobile and everything works perfectly.

To all the users who are about to try this, i would like to let you know that while i was updating it was stuck at 6% and showed a lot of errors ..but i guess that didn’t matter and now it works perfectly as i have already mentioned, but make sure the screen mentioned comes into view as that is really must.
