USB Tethering works on Samsung Focus S

Hello friends, I want to ask that the USB Tethering is working properly with the Samsung Focus S phone or not. I have heard that the Samsung Focus S is having the problem with the USB Tethering. So does anyone have the information about it and so it is working then tell me the method to do. Thank you.

The old method is not working for the phone and also the computer is not able to detect it. In the diagnostic screen of the Samsung Focus S you might be able to get many of the option such as the

• Zune Sync
• Modem, Tethered Call
• Modem, USB Diag.
• Zune Sync, Modem.
• Modem_QC, USB Diag.

So the USB Tethering works well and properly.

You can make it work, if it is not working then you can try it then you can try the below methods for your phone.

If you can't get modem to work,then you do

• If it is not then tried the below method:
• Remove modem from computer
• Uninstall all previous software
• Reinstall
• Plug phone back in
• Let automatic drivers install

If you don't have the "Diagnosis" APP installed

• Bring up the dial pad on the phone
• Dial ##634#
• Go to your APPS list and open "Diagnosis"
• Dial *#7284#
• Select Modem, Tethered Call

When you are done with the above user method, then you go to Computer and in that you go to the Start, in the start go to the Control Panel, and in the control panel go to the Network and Sharing and in that you select "Set up a new connection or network" when you have select that then you will get an window, so in that you select the "Set up a dial-up connection". I wanted to say that when you are done with all the settings of the above users have told you then you better go the Start on the computer and in that go the control panel, in that in the system and under the system go to the device manager, under that you will be are able to see the Modem, so you select that and in that you select the "SAMSUNG Mobile Modem", so you right click on the "SAMSUNG Mobile Modem" and go to the properties of the "SAMSUNG Mobile Modem", in the properties you go the "Advanced" Tab and kindly add AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","wap.cingular" with no trailing spaces. So better also do these setting then you will be able to use the USB Tethering of the phone.

• Go to your APPLICATIONS list and open "Diagnosis"
• Dial *#7284#
• Select Zune Sync
