i am having a laptop that is Asus G73SW, when i am trying to just update a new software on my laptop so at that time getting some issue. the software scantly
just update from the 11.04 to 11.10 because my keyboard back light doesn't work in Ubuntu, or not able to do any of the function properly like as touch pad
malfunctioning , hang the laptop etc. so what the exact problem can any one help out?

That is because of in-appropriate drivers update for ubuntu. Currently the laptop works well on Windows 7 32 and 64 bit. Even some older version of Ubunut might work. Try to run software updates. Unless and until you do not find proper updates for the hardware support, it might not work properly. To to get back to odl os.
