Wifi connection drops from Belkin F6D4230-4 V1 router on Dell Mini 10v

My Dell Mini 10v-10v Netbook drops Wi-Fi router Belkin F6D4230-4 there is no trouble with the router and other pc can connect without difficulty. I'm running Ubuntu,Nevertheless I imagine the trouble is not operating system specific as I have tried three pilots, including the XP driver (with ndiswrapper). All work extremely well with other routers, although not with the Belkin.

obtain the similar consequences, even when the center of Belkin is 'collateral'. No matter what protocol is used, what channel or what wireless setup, so I'm convinced the difficulty is s with the Broadcom chipset and / or driver.

Do not have a "device manager" - I've said I'm in Ubuntu. Lspci shows up adapter, which is Broadcom BCM 4132. I tried Broadcom STA driver itself, the Ubuntu B43 driver (using fwcutter), and yesterday I downloaded the most recent Windows XP driver d and used with ndiswrapper.

Since this is actually using the Windows driver as the core, I'm pretty sure that the same result would happen with Windows. This is the reason I asked if anyone else has noticed the trouble. Is specific to that particular Belkin center in combination with BCM 4132 chipset so I can observe. The Wi-Fi PCI card works perfectly in all other circumstances.

The thing is that unless someone comes along who in reality has the similar Broadcom chipset and knows that the middle who are trying to connect is superior, that is only going to think that the operations center where they are in a dubious one. This happened at a conference a few months ago, and I thought the trouble was a bad heart. It was only when in the open source Expo last week I had the opportunity to dig out. When I returned, I went to purchase Belkin and learned that it is a genuine and repeatable. It works extremely fine with my laptop.

I am convinced that this state of affairs will occur, for the reason that , while I was standing at a rate exposure occurred to him that there was a netbook (not a Dell), but had the similar Broadcom chipset, encountered the same problem! Just something to flag up. I tell Belkin (he said it is not their trouble) and Broadcom (report to your equipment supplier)

As for me, I will take a safety device Wi-Fi when I go to conferences only in case the connection is unreliable! I always have an ethernet cable, but not everyone let me use it. Thanks for your interest anyway. If so, please, just a note this down. I do not expect action that directly benefit me, and is not normally a big trouble

Belkin My suspicious not capable to determine the difference between WPA ยบ-PSK (TKIP) Security (Personal) and WPA-AES.

There was another member to connect a Dell 3300 Wireless Print Adapter. The Belkin does not work with this wireless router configuration, Nevertheless recommended a Linksys, using the identical settings that worked. Most recent firmware on the Belkin? I've only had one Netgera and Linksys routers. Both seem to function extremely well, one has the features that others do not, Although basically the same.

Trouble solved for me to acquire a wireless dongle. This shows that the trouble is the Broadcom BCM 4132 chipset. The dongle is linked to the Belkin router without any troubles. I imagine this should be marked within the organization to Dell as a particular trouble.

I just thought it was going into my "suggested response" to this input. I just bought the similar series laptop and had very similar matter with a Netgear WNDR3700 Wireless N Router. All other laptops / desktops work extremely well in this wireless connection and the router has the most recent firmware.

After trying for several days and investigate the matter (and not WEP does not solve it) I learned of the Wireless Multimedia (WMM), set in the router needed to be able to generate a valid Internet connection to this wireless adapter. Could connect to the router, no troubles with any type of security (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.) and could ping any website from the command prompt. All web browsers cannot display any web page. After you enable WMM on the router I was capable to browse websites. Turing off and off WMM on the router to reproduce the trouble described above.
