In Lenovo ThinkPad W520 System Reserved Partition & RapidBoot

Hey all, newly I have swapped my HDD with a SSD on my Lenovo ThinkPad W520,a and after this I have installed the new copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 instead of recovering with the 'supplied' Lenovo Recovery DVDs. But when I checked the system at that time I can see that on my old HDD, installation have made the 1GB System Reserved Partition and also there I found one folder named RapidBoot. I am not getting over here that why this thing have happed with me. Can here anyone suggest me some way that why Lenovo created a 1GB Partition??

Ok, for that I will say over here that 1GB partition is the active partition so this is necessary to enable. And in your system you are getting folder named RapidBoot, this is because this is software that helps your system to boot fast. And also I will suggest you that if you do a clean UEFI install on SSD then at that time you will not be able to boot fast. You can also try with the factory install with the partition. And in your case I will say that if you are having solid state hard drive then at that time Rapidboot cannot speed up your boot time, better for you to delete this folder for your SSD. Try with this, hope that this will help you out.

Ok for that reason I think t hat I will leave it with the fresh Windows install. And also I have tried with the manual installing the RapidBoot but still this also not helped in my cause. Any other suggestion for this?? And thanks for the suggestion.

Let me tell over here that the fresh install of the windows 7 reserved partitions is approximate 100MB. And this only contains some critical Win7 boot files and a basic Win7 Rescue Environment. And after doing this thing if you tried with installing the Rescue and Recovery then this will help to get installed in the primary partition because there is no any space in the 100MB System Reserved partition. And also I would like to say over here that RapidBoot is a software that tries to make your system boot faster. And also this is only optimized to work on a Lenovo preload. And if you try to install this to the other system then this will cause that system to boot slow.
