Hi, I have recently install windows XP in my Toshiba Satellite C640-I4010 laptop and after downgrading I came to know that I must have to install drivers for the machine for particular hardware, thus please let me know from where can I download all the necessary drivers for the laptop model I have mentioned? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Yeah you are right as you need to have drivers in for the laptop model if you have installed windows XP in the laptop. Anyways why did you downgrade it? Because that’s also one of the good advantage of the windows 7 as we don’t have to install any driver in the machine until and unless you wanted to install it.
Anyways as far as drivers are concern you can install It from the driver disk you must have gotten with the laptop. I hope you must be having it.

- Actually was about to install it from there only but the thing is like I have just misplaced it and now I am not aware where is it. Any other way, off course there should be any !

Off course why not, if you have forgotten the disk you can download those drivers from their official website as well, have you visited it ever yet?
When I was searching about the same I came to know that you can download it from here.

I have downloaded and installed sound and graphic drivers from various websites but it is vain. Then i call the servicing centre and i was told model C640=I4010 and C 665 - P5010 are not compatable with XP. This would opted me to look another brand of laptop becouse one of my programe software requires XP OS.
