Sony Tablet S: A Single remote for all devices

I don’t know whether it is actually a known thing or not but as far as I know that it’s probable to create single remote for all (with nearly all ordinary utilized commands). I control my sagem iptv stb, Onkyo av receiver and my Samsung LE46C750. Make a remote through physical adding commands and make use of the remote from gadget of your requirements. The tablet is the eventual parental control.

Re: Sony Tablet S: A Single remote for all devices

Being able to transform her into a universal remote S1 Sony is a major feature that differentiates this tablet really competition (one IR blaster is embedded in the thickest portion of the unit). Do not spoil, the supplied software is not limited to products of the brand. Almost all manufacturers are represented regardless of the chosen category (TV, DVD player, console box, etc.).. Note, however, the program is not nearly as comprehensive as could be a remote range Harmony (Logitech). Once the builder chosen, the wizard does not list models.

Besides operating the TV, the Sony Tablet S also control other devices such as digital receivers. This can easily add it by device type and entering the brand selected. A standard interface will appear on your tablet to control the device to it. If this is not to your liking than Sony has made it possible for the tablet to "train" using your original remote control. So you can always remote interface for your preference.

Try the proposed profiles (16 in the case of Samsung TVs) one by one to get their hands on one that best fits his camera. After the first pruning, if there is the presence of recalcitrant keys, it is possible to learn a manual with the original remote. Besides the presence of a database of IR codes much more limited than that of Harmony, there is no more annoying one second: macros are absent to subscribers. Even after entering multiple devices, offers no function to start or turn off all devices automatically. One begins to dream of a certification in partnership with Logitech Harmony but even if the functionality is still imperfect, the idea is original.

The Sony Tablet S also supports DLNA technology. This technique allows your video and music streaming to your (3D) TV or stereo. This technique is very similar to the known technique AirPlay. It seems to work well with DLNA only Sony TVs, while claiming that it works with all TV brands.

The application is surprisingly simple and you quickly connect your devices to the tablet. You walk through a small menu, for example, your TV set. Switching between devices is also very easy, especially easy if you get the sound of your stereo and change the channels on your decoder. The only thing I miss is that you of all the most used features can make a remote control. Now you need to switch between different remote controls on your display. Nevertheless, a very nice application that the Tablet S a fixed position in the bank earned.

I heard that not all groups are included in the application as exhaustively as TVs and cable receivers. For example, we look for "Network Video Player", and then we can choose between Sony, Apple and Western Digital. Fortunately, the application you the opportunity to make a remote control. You can use the virtual remote control to learn everything it needs to know.

Re: Sony Tablet S: A Single remote for all devices

Once your brand and the type chosen, the app gives you all remotes that come with the brand that is available. In the case of LG, there were 9, "Type 1" to "Type 9" mentioned. You cannot choose based on model number of the TV or something. It's simply a matter of trying until you find the correct one. Have you found a remote that works, but you are missing some buttons; you can use the tablet to learn correct commands. With the Humax receiver that we have operated the Tablet S example the volume buttons were missing. Do you like the remote control device, however, in the immediate vicinity of the tablet and aim you at the remote module to that of the physical control when the volume button, it shows the tablet this and you can then also the volume used to regulate.
