Getting Error Code 0x80040057 in blackberry Bold 9700

I have recently purchased blackberry Bold 9700 mobile phone. I like this phone. I have installed blackberry desktop software V5. Also I have a computer at home in which I have installed windows xp sp3 operating system. The problem is that I get error message when I try to sync with my pc. I always get an error code like Sync Error: Error encountered. Error code: 0x80040057 and check Documentation. I don’t know what is the meaning if this code. Does anybody know about this code? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Well firstly I would say that it is difficult to analyze the error code. I would like know which desktop organizer you are using to synchronize? I have a blackberry storm and I am using Microsoft Outlook for synchronization.

I think you should export your contacts as a CSV and import them into outlook. After exporting and importing, sync them in blackberry. You can use Microsoft outlook for this purpose. You will get option to use excel to clean up the CSV file before importing it.

Well I would say that you should try to install the operating system again. Install the operating system that you want and then try again synchronization. I think this will resolve the problem.

Actually I am trying to import .csv file and text in that file is in the following format: "John Black","01234567891" when I try to click on synchronizes I am getting error encountered: Error Code 0x80040057 Check Documentation. I would like if I can see anything in this forum. I am helpless.

I would first try to delete the intellisync folder and then reset the sync options. I am sure this would help.
