Need help to choose between Apple Mac mini 2011 and Apple Mac mini server 2011.

Hey all, I am here to take help while choosing between Mac mini and Mac mini server. For that I have also made the configurations which are as:

• 2.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7;
• 8GB 1333MHzDDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB;
• 750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm + 256GB Solid State Drive;
• AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory

And also for the Apple Mac mini server 2011 configurations are as:

• 2. 2.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 with 6MBon-chip shared L3 cache;
• 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB;
• 750GB Serial ATA Drive+ 256 Solid State Drive.
• Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor with 384MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory.

With the help of this configuration I can say that Mac mini server is more power full then Mac Mini 2011. I need this build for the gaming and also for the graphic design. So please suggest me that which one should I take for my use.

I am having some of the core differences I your case which are as:

• According to me, the Apple Mac mini has a higher clock speed, but only fewer cores and 2/3 the L3 cache.
• And also I can say that Apple Mac Mini is having the faster GPU with the high prosing speed.
• Since here your requirements are only for the graphical design and for the gaming then in your case I will suggest you that Apple Mac Mini 2011 will be good in your case. Because Apple Mac Mini is having the better GPU with faster memory that will help you to perform faster while playing the games and graphical design.

Here in your case, I will suggest you to not go with the Apple Mac Mini server 2011, because it is costly and it is having the configuration more than your requirements. And here you only want the new built for the gaming and for the graphical design. It will be good and less costly for you to buy the Apple Mac Mini 2011 for your use. And in the future if you want to increase the performance then you can also upgrade the RAM and the GPU as per your requirements.
