Acer Aspire 5742Z Bootup error

Hello,

Glad to join your community and i hope i will get some help with my laptop.
The story begins from buying this laptop from ebay new one. I thought it would be a good present for my mom for a decent price. After using it for one week i noticed that time after time my acer can't boot. Everything seems to be fine till ACER logo appears on the boot screen. After that it disappears and on the top of the screen i see "_" sign. And it's just stops there. Nothing happends after that all i can see is that mark. When I restart my laptop and enter bios by pressing F2 button I just go to the end and make save changes and exit (without doing anything) only then my computer loads normally. If anyone knows what's the problem please answer.

Looks like an issue of cmos. It is an laptop and I cannot recommend you to open it. Every motherboard has a cmos battery which saves the time and bios settings. If that is expired then you can face such kind of issue. Second the problem can be due bios. You can run an fresh bios update. The update can be found on Acer website. Choose the download as per your model and run the same if you face issue.
