Want to know the version of my sandisk e200 music player

I am using sandisk e200 music player. I have got this player sometime ago and I really like this player. I am enjoying every bit of this player and I have suggested many people to buy this player. Actually I was wondering that which version I must be having. I want to know which version 1, 2 or rhapsody is on my e200. I have heard that the version is there on the back side of the player. But I think this not right. I read somewhere that to know the version we have to see the firmware. I know that 3.x is a v2. 1.x is a v1 or a Rhapsody. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Firstly let me tell you that there are three versions of e200 music player. The three versions are as follows:
    • e200 [version 1]
    • e200R [Rhapsody]
    • e200v2 [version 2]
To see the version, check the label on the back of your player. It is on the lower right hand corner. There you will see the place of manufacture and the version of the player. I hope this helps.

Well there are 3 versions, v1, v2 and vR. V1 is actually the original version. It is a little slower than other versions. It takes mjpeg videos which are big. V2 is the second version. It has the divx support with new firmware, different startup screen and it is slightly faster than the v1. The vr version which is a rhapsody version has support for the rhapsody services. It is the fastest version among the three and has different names for usb mode.

If you want to know that is it rhapsody version then it will say on the boot up itself. Check that is there rhapsody channel under settings or no? Also the mode choices will be Rhapsody/PlaysForSure instead of MSC/MTP.

I think you need to take your phone to the store form where you had purchased the player as them to help you. Ask them to tell you the version of e200 player. You can also check the manual that you must have got with the player at the time purchase. There version must be mentioned.

I have a Sansa e250 music player. I didn’t find the version at the back of the player. When I opened the version file I got the following details,
    • Product Rev.: PP5022AF-05.51-S301-02.18-S301.02.18A-D
    • Base Code: 05.51-S301-02.18-S301.02.18A-D
    • ODM Ver.: S301-02.18-S301.02.18A-D
    • OEM Ver.: S301.02.18A-D
    • Build Type: -D
    • Build Date: 2006.11.03
    • Build Number: (Build 32.10)
The Updater says that the version is 1.02.18. So still I don’t know whether it is v1 or v2. Please if possible I would like to hear regarding this.

I think you must connect your player to the computer using usb. Once you connect your pc with the player, the player will get detected. There you will see the version of your phone. You can go into its properties, details to find the version. I hope it works.
