Canon A800 VS canon S95 VS canon A1200

I am a photographer by professional and I am looking for some good digital camera. I have been using Nikon Coolpix S8100 digital camera from past 3 years. I am not able to use it now because it has got faulty. I have spent a lot on it to get it repaired but there wasn’t any improvement, so finally I decided its better if I look for some new camera’s. This time I want to go for canon camera. I have heard a lot of canon so would love to go for the canon one. I am confused between three models- Canon A800, canon S95, canon A1200. I don’t know which one I should go for. has anybody conducted a ISO test of these three canon compact cameras. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Kindly help me out in buying a good one.

The A800 is quite sharper i must say as compared to other canon models. canon A1200 is bit noiser and it has less detail as compared to the canon A800 but no doubt it has 2mp camera advantage. The canon S95 has less detail/contrast but noise is still not bad. The canon A800 contrast and detail remain a bit better than the canon A1200 and also bright colors don't bleed much. Canon A1200 camera comes at around $110. It has a nice lens and image processing. All the competition in this price class delivers soft and water color like images. canon A800 camera lacks many features and looks. But this camera delivers an image that most mid range cameras can’t match also. so its you who have to decide now.

I like the canon A1200 camera. my elder brother has it. The video quality of canon A1200 camera is just amazing. It has a wider lens and other lot of features. The canon A800 IQ difference is not huge but is definitely there. You can go for the canon A1200 digital camera for sure.

The change in the Canon PowerShot S95 is that, there is addition of a high definition 720p (1280 x 720 pixel) movie mode, with stereo sound. The Canon S95 has no grip, but the texture of the camera is a little rougher to improve the grip. i know that this is not a significant improvement. So if it is difficult to hold then you can consider an aftermarket stick-on grip. It has a 3.0-inch diagonal and 460,000-dot resolution. Let me tell you that the battery life is a little lower than average, at approximately 200 shots, down from the S90's 220 shots.
