Just made this common thread to solve all the issue regarding this entire HP Pavilion model just feels free to check and report your issue on the same I know there may be few questions that may bug you for time to time I hope you will get all solved in here in fact I will also get the glance of the features and glitches for these model. I was thinking of buying one of them so do feel free comment on each of them

I had just got my HP DV6-6017tx few hours back and I feel it’s a lovely piece that I ever saw I didn’t install ant game yet but like to comment on the heating issue and it’s been considerable as its using the i7 core machine. The look is more sexy, compact and slim as compare to the Dell XPS 15 and I know this because one of my friends was using it. The delivery is also immediate. Has nice display is nice .little disappointed with the sound as compare to the Dell XPS 15 I got it for 53 k while dell XPS was available at 60k+ so it’s a great deal so that my feeling about my new HP DV6-6017tx

I have three questions about the HP Pavilion models which I glad to know whether that is done or not.

• There was an issue in OpenGL is that fixed
• How the battery back for this model is is it good
• I heard somewhere that it has an overheating issue is that true

Kindly answer these questions I want to know that so that I can make my decisions whether to get these models or not

1. About that yes its fixed on the BIOS update release made by the HP on 2nd of August

2. Yeah that was the issue but it’s quite decent now and you can easily get the back up of about 4 to 5 hours on light usage on onboard GPU

Well it’s fair to say that seeing the history of the HP but my experience Is bit different. While plating the most graphic intense game I jus notice the maximum temp I got was 76 degrees in couples of hours

Latest update I am disappointed by the display quality but when compared with standard 720p screen of Del XPS its much better. It has bad view angle. The dithering problem is most evident when screening the color blue
Sound quality is also not that good but better then Vaio , Acer and Lenovo

I like the keyboard though the up and down arrow is bit small and get time to use to it. It’s Plastic but other than that its make typing easier without much error and the NUM pad is benefits to the people who work with the number a lot

Yes there was the problem but now it was fixes completely now you can choose between the Dynamic Switching and Fixed Mode Switching from the BIOS now everything is working perfectly fine now . so now all the game work perfectly well and to its maximum setting even metro 2033

Well its easily available at most of the retailer and HP world I just got mine yesterday its differs in price like 54k, 56k and 57k so on but I got it on 53 k so you insist on the same price I was also given the high quote still I got mine in 53k but at the end the decision is you who would give me a better deal for my old system if you have any
And one more thing HP I also goy HP Back Pack with it and its really awesome with water proof material inside but I fear might scratches on the body of the laptop but it’s too early to say that sill great quality especially since I got it for free with the laptop

Good man seems like you got the great deal on your laptop . I saw specs online some time ago and configuration of that kind for this price is amazing I wished if it had Full-HD display
