What your laptop needs is a standard 3-pin female connector known in UK as kettle lead or power cord. Simply take the one with you to the market and ask for replacement. There isn’t much one can do about this cords. Some may work, some don’t. But it’s not that costly so whenever you have problems it’s always safe to replace these cords immediately. Well, if you have a break in your wire due to some reason, then you can search for Google. As there are number of sites on there where you can get step-by-step instructions about repairing it with help of tools. What is a break, a break in the coaxial (round, thin) cable, near the adapter instead of near the laptop pin/plug. In this case, if the cable break is close to the adapter, you will have to break enough wire to get it fixed. Soldering is the best way to repair a fix. Although repairing the fix is only for those who got knowledge about this repair.
