Not able to activate my PS3, 80029780 error

I have a problem with my PS3. I am not able to activate my PS3 as I have reached the limit of number of console to be activated with an account. When I called Sony, they said that they cannot do anything in order to activate my PS3. I have bought many games and other contents on my PSN account and for that I have spent l huge money. But now, I think my account is useless, as I cannot activate my PS3 with my account. Is there anything to do so that I can activate my PS3 console? I re-bought my old PS3 console from the person I sold it previously. But my account was not on that console. Please suggest anything that I can do to activate my PS3 with my PSN account.

I understand your problem. You are not getting access to your stuffs that you bought from your PSN account as your new PS3 is not getting activated with that account. But I cannot understand how and why did you used your account to activate 5 consoles.

I bought and sold many PS3’s since the release. I sold them because of money problem and later I bought a new PS3 each time.

So you used your account to activate 5 PS3’s. One suggestion I want to give you is that from next time, when you sell your PS3, don’t forget to deactivate your account. If you had done this, you were not be in this situation now. However, I can’t help you now.

You cannot use your account to activate any more PS3’s as Sony might be thinking that you are doing game sharing.

You just want to activate your window or you want to add your PSN ID to your PS3.

I am trying to activate my PS3 with my PSN account so that I can get access to my previous contents.

One thing you can do is tell your previous PS3 buyers to deactivate your account from their PS3.

They think that you are doing game sharing as you have used it to activate 5 different consoles, but If you are not doing so then keep convincing Sony customer service about your problem that you are genuine user and you are not doing game sharing and explain them whole situation and ask if they can do anything for you. If they cannot do anything then ask them to speak to a supervisor. Else, I think there is no other way for that.

Account Management -- account information -- sign in ID (E-mail Address) -- enter your password -- Enter another new E-mail.

And then go to activate your account, it should be activated, it worked with me.

Then go ahead and Download from PS Store
