how to upgraded the HP-Compaq CQ62-225NR notebook

Hi guys I have a HP-Compaq notebook. I want to upgrade my HP-Compaq laptop. This might sound amazing. Actually I have a laptop HP-Compaq with CPU of P320 Athlon II 2.1 which I have to upgrade to the N620 Phenom II 2.8 GHz dual core CPU. Is could be possible. I also want to know that if its possible but not necessary that I want to upgrade my processor speed upto the 1333 MHz with the N620. So any help would be useful. I would really appreciate the response from you. Let me also if you need more information’s than above. Thank you.

Yes you can upgrade your laptops. I too have upgrade my laptops of HP-Compaq notebook. .My notebook which has the Ram 8 GB of PC3-10600 RAM now runs at full 1333 MHz speed with the N620 CPU, instead of at the P320's 1066MHz. Also, the N620's Hyper Transport link runs at 1800 MHz (3600 Gt/sec); the P320's runs at only 1600 MHz. I found is that the performance increase up to the 36% faster than the original one. The up gradations were 100% successfully.

Go to the web. Go to the official website of hp notebook. Click on the maintenance and service links. Download the pdf manual for your notebook from the HP Compaq website.If its possible take a print out of it and follow the instructions to the letter. Take notes as you go along. While doing the upgrade, as I followed along with my HP-Compaq service manual, I found that with the trickier steps it helped to disconnect and remove a part, then reconnect and reinstall it, and then remove it once again, just to get the procedure down. Once I was comfortable I moved on to the next step. Follow the steps and if you are new to the things then I would strongly suggest you use under expert advice. Thank you.

I would suggest you to go for the reassembling for you latops , it was a breeze. I didn't even need the service manual. I can now disassemble and reassemble it practically in my sleep Also, as you take your laptop apart; you're going to have a bunch of small Phillips screws of varying lengths and function to deal with.

I would like to add to this thing. I personally think that it is not a good idea to upgrade a laptop. I would recommend purchasing a new laptop instead of buying different upgrades and then simply install the same because laptops are not meant for up gradations if you are a newbie. I would recommend you to buy a new laptop instead of upgrading the older one.
