Upgrade iPod Touch to 4.3.3/Jailbreak or stay with 4.2.1

Right now I am using the 3rd generation ipod touch which is installed and running with ios 4.2.1. However now I am looking forward to update my device to 4.3.3 and then jailbreak for the intention of to allow native multitasking. I know that it is simple and can be achievable. But my question is different. Whether I should stay at 4.2.1 otherwise upgrade toward 4.3.3 after that jailbreak?
