Want to get out of standby on ASUS eee900

Sponsored Links
I am using ASUS eee900 at my home, every time when It goes on standby mode, I had to reboot the computer. Can anyone help me to get it back without restarting the computer? I press restart key to reboot my EEEpc to get back in the normal mode, it is the only way that I can do to get back from the standby mode. I would like to know that is there any other way to get back my PC without restarting? Can anyone suggest me what to do now?

The easy way to get out from the standby mode is to move the mouse or to press any key from the keyboard, the system will automatically comes in the normal mode. You should look around in your power options advanced settings maybe, or bios, it will help you to change the setting for the standby mode. You can also visit to the control panel of the computer to deal with the standby setting to adjust as per your requirement.

You mean to say that your mouse also don’t help to get out from the standby mode, I will suggest you to go control panel > hibernate tab, to see the setting, there will be option to change the setting for the standby mode. You can also stick the standby mode can turn off the hibernate by using the power setting. If in your computer certain BIOS option is enable then it will cause your computer to do so, I will recommend you to change the BIOS setting for the standby mode.

For my computer I also uses the hibernation, but I never faces these problems. There might be change in your control panel setting for the standby mode, check the setting for the standby on control panel, it will help you to come out of this problem. Or be sure that you had updated your computer windows software. There might be some problem with some network driver, so make sure that your network driver is working properly.

I will suggest you to restart your computer, and switch it on safe mode. Log in safe mode and go to desktop. Press the start button and SELECT run option and write msconfig and run it. After that a box will appear with checked or unchecked start normally. If it is checked then restart computer if not then click it to checked and then again restart computer. I am sure that it will help you to get out of that problem. when again it go in standby mode then move the mouse, or press any key from the mouse, it will cause the computer to came out of the standby mode.
