Recently my father got a Toshiba Satellite X205 laptop from his office but he already has an Acer laptop so there is no use of this laptop. That’s why he gave to me for my college purpose. But I have decided to upgrade my laptop. It contain Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7250 which speeds has 2.00 GHz. I want Intel Core2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz and want to replace my video card to a Dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M. so friends can I upgrade my Toshiba Satellite X205 to processor2.4 GHz.

You can upgrade your processor with Intel P8600 because these both processors are of Intel family. All the Intel Core 2 processors have same motherboard. All Intel Core2 processors come with same motherboard with different specific model. You are saying that you want to upgrade processor Intel T7250 with Intel P8600, but these both processors have equivalent features only difference is speed. After upgrading it will increase just 20% processor speed. And its contain Nvidia SLI Dual GeForce 8600M graphic which provide 767MB memory it is enough for a heavy gamer this type of video card.

This Toshiba Satellite X205 contains processor of a socket P type. It means that you can upgrade your old processor T7250 with P8600 but is will just increase 20 % of your processor speed. It will better if you go for high speed processor of P type socket. This can increase your processor speed up to 40%. In P type socket processor you can upgrade your processor up to 2.8GHz extreme CPU. I think you will get difficult to upgrade your graphics card so I will suggest you don’t go for the upgrading of Graphics card.

Why you are going for only for upgrading of processor only. You can also upgrade your RAM and Hard disk. You can extend your RAM up to 8GB, but it will better you upgrade up to only 4GB that is also Quite enough. And hard disk upgrading is done up to 500GB which is available in market. If you go for Extreme processor then definitely you have to upgrade your RAM, because all these processor are suitable gaming purpose and if you’re RAM is less than 2GB then it will slow your laptop performance
