Ctrl key stuck on Acer Aspire 5517

Hello I am using the windows XP on mine Acer Aspire 5517 laptop and everything on the system working fine without any issue but from last one week I have small issue on mine Ctrl key. When I press the Ctrl key and after that mine system will get stuck. Now I don’t what to do, can anyone suggest on this issue and so that I can solve mien issue. please help me on this and thanks in advance.

First thing I’d recommend you to use the system file checker on your system and after that let me know the issue. to do this make hit on the start icon on the desktop and after that click on the run. Now on the run application type cmd and after that click on the ok button. Now you will get the command prompt and under that type below code:

Sfc/scannow

Now you will get the successful message and after that reboot the system.

Try to check on the On-Screen Keyboard and after that let me know the issue. to do this open the start icon on the desktop and after that click on the program. Now on the programs go to the accessories and after that click on the accessibility. Now on the accessibility select the On-Screen Keyboard and after that try to press the Ctrl key and then let me know the issue.

First try press the both the right and left ctrl key and after that release it. Now go to the start icon on the desktop and after that click on the control panel. now on the control panel go to the setting and under that select the accessibility options. Now on the accessibility options turn of the CTRL lock. Now go to the setting and under that turn off the Press modifier key twice to lock and Use shortcut. Now on the control panel go to the All Control Panel Items and after that make click on the Ease of Access Center. Now on the Ease of Access Center go to the Set up Sticky Keys and under that make uncheck mark on the Turn on Sticky Keys check box and after that go through your issue
