Which CPU is best 25w or 35w in Acer 5251-1513

Well I know I can easily upgrade my Acer 5251 but I’m bit confused regarding the cpu I don’t know which cpu would be better for me is 25w or I go for the 35. I don’t even how to open the mobo. I want to ask whether it is having the express card too. I’m planning to put the Phenom II in my laptop but I think it’s having the higher watts than the original one. Please suggest me regarding this. Thanks in advance!

If you’re having the enough power supply then you should go for the 35w in the Acer 5251. Well I don’t know how much it has as the biggest problem is with the system cooling as the 25w usually emit the less heat as compare to the 35w cpu and your cooling system. The Acer 5251 usually uses an amd v series cpu and the socket of s1g4 you can even swap with different cpu such as an Athlon II or Phenom II and I don’t know much about the bios restriction your system is having.

I had contact to the Acer customer support they say if you are putting the new processor than bios would be having the support for it. Well I had seen the video for it but I was not able to see it as it usually skipped the frames I think so my CPU is doing some decoding which have more types of video available I think that is the use of ATi Radeon HD 4250. If you still can’t get it then you must call the customer care support and they will surely assist you.

Well I’m having the Acer 5251 and I had bought that last year only and I had ordered the Phenom II x920 BE which is to be installed in my laptop plus I had asked for up gradation of ram and even the 500gb which is having a 7200rpm with an sata hd and I’m planning to have a 4 cores plus 4x512 l2cache and I’m sure it will be having the good cooling system. I had got the service manually. Well I think you should also go for the Phenom II x920.

I think you should think before putting the 35w in the laptop as it usually designed to cool the 25w cpu I’m having the system which have an 2650e single core and cpu of 15w and in that I had out a 45w cpu with an dual 2.4 and due to that I need to downclock the system to the 1.8GHZ so that it won’t get thermal shutdown. I think p940 which is having a 25w provide a great cooling system and even the p840 which is cheaper and faster and having the advantage with the clock rate which is 1.9GHZ.
