Oh I have never released that the Droid has also have got some problem. Because I have hardly used the camera of it and have not really noted about the issue so far. But I am going to check it as soon as I will get my phone back. Thank you for mentioning the issue and I will surely find out the solution to it if the bug is really there. But I really doubt that the bug is really present in my droid X. but still I am going to check it out. |

I would not say that it is the bug because many of the cameras have this kind of feature. I do not remember but I also had used such a phone where the resolution would go back to the default. I know that it is very irritating to change the resolution each and every time you switch on the camera. But this is the only way some of the companies prefer. So in real sense it is not the bug in reality. |

It seems that you are having the Android 2.3. Because the phone with Android 2.1 and 2.2 do not show up these kind of issues and they store up the user resolution without changing it. This is also one of the reasons because of which the android if going to fail because it has many versions available. I think there are eight androids i.e 1.5, 1.6, 2.2 etc etc…. And I guess that these kind of bugs may be there in many more. |

I also do not think that it is the bug and it is the design criteria of the Android itself. And it is explained in the above post why I also think so. But still if you think it is the then you can wait for the update for your software. And on updating you can get the problem solved. So there is not a big deal into it. And you should know that android is one of the most used o.s so it would hardly have some bugs into it. |

You can also use some of the apps for the android phone what will help you to change the settings. For example I am using the Vignette. I think this is very much useful app and it saves the settings and many many additional features added to it. It also supports to save your camera settings. Once you have installed this software and save the setting then you don’t need to save the setting again and again. |

Yes this is the specialty of the android that it will help you to get an app for the things you don’t like in it. So using app is one of the solutions. But I will not recommend it because many of the apps may be from the un trusted source and this may lead to the miss hap. So better you shall go for the update and make things work as they should by it rather than using the application for the same. Decision is yours. |

Yes I also think it is the bug. Because if the things change by itself then it should be the some defect in the system or there really exists some evil thing inside your system. Lol. But yes it is the bug, because if we are making some changes then it is with some reason and device should have capacity to save those changes. Otherwise why should I buy such a device which cannot save my settings. So up date it. |
