| Re: Not able to perform proper rooting on Galaxy Tab
I fixed my Tab using z4root by installing z4root from website. Once installed, Run the application and click root. Phone will reset itself and when it boots back up, check applications for super user application. If you see super user application, Tab is rooted. And root doesn't go left with a system erase from SETTINGS than go to privacy than erase data When you reset device, check applications and super user application will install itself from root. |

| Re: Not able to perform proper rooting on Galaxy Tab
I have used z4root successfully before many times with other product such as cell phone, but since i updated to jmd. Z4root is not working any longer. It just shutdown, although the tab runs super-slow afterwards. Rooting with super-one-click-root from a personal computer still works.z4root is king of rooting all kind of devices whether is pad or cell phone. Z4root is much simpler than any other rooting tool. |

| Re: Not able to perform proper rooting on Galaxy Tab
The exploit worn by z4root doesn’t run anymore in my Samsung Galaxy Tab. in support of now, you can only root using rageagainstthecage exploit via adb (which is the super click does) or by flashing one of Roto's pre-rooted firmware images. But these things are more complex than z4root rooting. I tried contacting z4root support they said they will release the fix along with instruction as soon as possible. |

| Re: Not able to perform proper rooting on Galaxy Tab
I am facing similar issue with z4root. I have installed z4root from website, started application and clicked on root. Tab was restarted but when i checked z4root again, it still shows only root alternative, no unroot and reroot. However I already installed super user from market. Just installing super user from the Market won't do anything if you're not rooted. The latest firmwares don't work with z4root - you need to use SuperOneClickRoot as suggested earlier in this thread. |
