Unable to connect Samsung LCD TV with Hp elitebook 8540w.

I have purchased the Samsung LCD tv and my TV has all the latest features. I am using Hp elitebook 8540w laptop and I have lots of movies and documentary movies in my laptop. Now I want to watch all the movies in my new LCD TV. For that I am using original display port to HDMI converter, but whenever I connect at that time I am not able to use mu TV as monitor. Please tell me what I should do to solve this problem. If anyone has any idea then please let me know.

I have gone through your problem and I have one suggestion for you. First check your HDMI adapter is working perfectly or not. If possible try to connect any other laptop with your Samsung LCD TV. After that check whether you are able to watch the laptop screen on your TV or not, If you are not able to watch the screen by connecting the other laptop also then I think there is something wrong with your HDMI adepter. I hope this will be helpful to you and you will be able to detect the problem.

I have gone through your issue and as you have said that you are not able to use you LCD TV as monitor then I think you can solve this issue by following this steps. First right click on the desktop after that go to the properties. In properties click on the display setting. There you will find the option for the change resolution. Now select the highest resolution. After that connect your laptop with your TV again. I think after doing that you will be able to see the laptop screen on your LCD TV.

If you are facing this problem even after trying above solution then I think there is something wrong with the graphic driver. According to me you should first uninstall the graphic driver from your laptop and after that delete all the temporary file from your laptop. Then after restarting the laptop you install the graphic driver again in your laptop. Now after installing the driver connect your laptop with the TV again. Now you will be able to see the laptop screen.

I was also facing the same issue with my laptop. I was trying to connect the laptop with my Sony bravia TV but because of some problem I was not able to do. After that I repaired my operating system. After repairing the operating system in my laptop I am able to watch the laptop screen in my TV. That is why I suggest you to repair your operating system. After that you will be able to fix your problem. I hope this idea will make some difference for you.

I have watched all the above post and after that I tried all the solution to solve my problem one by one. I have tried to connect different laptop with my LCD TV and that laptop worked perfectly with my TV. After that I also tried to solve the problem by reinstalling the driver in my laptop but that also didn’t make any difference for me. Now I am very frustrated because of this. Please give me proper solution to solve this issue. I am waiting for your reply. Thank you.

If you are not able to connect your Hp elitebook 8540w with your Samsung LCD TV and if you have tried almost all the solution, then I think you have to first download the latest graphic driver from the internet. After that uninstall old drivers from your laptop and then install the new driver in your laptop. After doing that restart your laptop and then try to connect your Hp elitebook 8540w with your TV. Now you will able to see the laptop screen in your LCD TV.
