I endeavor to hit it off on it, other than it vanished previous to I might plug my USB mouse in. Re: I am getting message that your touchpad is disabled

Every time when I boot up, the touchpad runs extremely well other than merely for a small number of minutes. A box comes up saying: "Your TouchPad has been put out of action for the reason that the Synaptics TouchPad driver has detected an additional pointing apparatus plugged into your system." My laptop thinks that it has a mouse plugged into the PS/2 port (it doesn't), and so although all the functionality of the touchpad is tranquil represented on the control panel the entire the superior stuff scrolling, curve tapping etc has stopped. This has been driving me insane.

Have you checkered in the laptop's BIOS settings. Sometimes there is a setting to organize how the touchpad runs in conjunction through an external mouse. My thinkpad has with the intention of alternative to work utilizing the trackpoint and mouse, trackpoint merely, or mouse only.
