if you compare in size and power of both which are near to almost being same in the 4850 and 6850 , there are even faster processor out there take the 6850 it is probably 2 times faster. the AMD R700 GPU to be chosen seems very non technical. a wide profit margin is offered and documented if Nintendo keeps on using its philosophy of design. Nintendo does not work like Microsoft or Sony who initially give away the configuration and then try to squeeze the price in software licensing. Not saying its good or bad, but that's the basic reasoning that Nintendo uses.

it all depends now on the hardware Nintendo offers if it is able to bring a bang in the market it will dominate the market above the PS3 and 360 and will become the best in the high-end console for the coming years. until Microsoft and Sony are able to come up with a better console. they will make the king of the market as their systems are much more sophisticated and low costing as compared with the Microsoft or Sony.

Nintendo is proving a better package they know, the time they will take for over taking the market will be enough for Microsoft and Sony to come up with even better systems. so it is important for Nintendo to build a system to be able to capture the market even with the presents of the danger of an upgrade may be by 2013 Microsoft may release xbox 360 - 3 and Sony the play station - 4.by that time Nintendo will also will have come up with a new console.

if the specifications are pretty accurate and it is a Triple-Core PowerPC central processing unit and AMD graphic processing unit, Gamecube compatibility may get available. the new design should support the old functions. And with a more powerful graphic processing unit / central processing unit there is a possibility. i think its just the time when the Nintendo launches and, i am sure Microsoft will not be so behind. Who knows when Sony will launch ps4. at the end, this should translate to more graphically advanced games on desktops and finally the jump that we desktop gamers have been waiting for.
