Will Toshiba NB305-N410 support Windows 7 64-bit OS?

Hello everyone, I bought Toshiba NB305-N410 notebook and initially windows 7 starter operating system presents on this notebook. I want to install the full version of the windows 7 64 bit operating system onto it. I had search lot of topics related to this concept but I didn’t find the correct answer. I try to contact the Toshiba service center but the feedback is not good. Can anyone give me any kind of suggestions for the concept behind the windows 7 64 bit OS compatibility with Toshiba notebook?

Hey dude, the specification of the Toshiba NB305-N410 notebooks suggest that this notebook is specially designed for the windows 7 starter OS. The window 7 starter is provides the latest reliability and responsiveness with the familiarity and compatibility of Windows based operating system. This notebook contains Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor with 1 GB DDR2 RAM and 250 GB HDD. Mostly this kind of specifications will not be suitable to the windows 7 64x OS. I think this notebook is specially designed for the 32 bit OS and for the 64 bit OS.

re: Will Toshiba NB305-N410 support Windows 7 64-bit OS?

The RAM presents in this notebook is to be 1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM and might be the 1GB RAM does not supports the windows 7 64x OS. The minimum requirement of windows 7 64x OS is to be 2GB 64 bit RAM, 1GHz processor and 20Gb 64bit HDD. The HDD and processor point of view this Toshiba notebook compatible with the windows 7 64x OS but the RAM of the notebook will not suits the 64 bit win 7 OS. So, I think you need to insert the 2GB RAM and it might be helpful to install the win 7 64x OS.

I also faced the similar kind of trouble in this notebook. I had install the 2GB RAM onto this notebook and then try to install win 7 64x OS but it does not work and it gives unsuccessful error message. I think Toshiba NB305-N410 notebook is specially designed for the 32 bit OS. See, the specification of the notebook says that there are only 29 Toshiba drivers and utilities are 32-bit and 49 are supports 64-bit Windows. I think Toshiba should be provides this kind of facility for installing the win 7 onto the notebook.

Hey dude, I also bought this notebook and I want to share some thoughts about this concept. The win 7 64x OS are provides so many high performance facility but the other 32 bit OS gives nice performance. The facility presents in the 32 bit OS is so good and several 32 bit software are available that is correctly work on the windows 7 32 bit OS. Hence as per mine suggestions don’t take risk to install the win 7 64x OS over the notebook. See, the Toshiba NB305-N410 notebook also provide high performance and it also provide the 64 bit software compatibility.

Hello, I had installed windows 7 ultimate 32 bit OS onto this notebook and it installed successfully. Then now it creates lot of issues such as the scroll pad is not working correctly and also the notebook resolutions is always set to 800*600 pixel. So, I try to insert the graphics card on it but it can’t work. Then I upgrade the driver but it does not helpful to solve the complete issue. I think the trouble is presents in the Toshiba notebook and this notebook is specially designed for the win 7 starter OS.

Hey dude, the issue you mentioned is not related to the notebook. See, the scroll pad is not work because you might be set the scroll pad shut off. Then you need to press F9 to solve this issue. This will help you to avoid such kind of issue. The issue presents in the notebook because you did not install the compatible driver of the graphics card. The driver is presents on the several sites and hence you need to download and install it. This will help you to solve the issue.
