I am having Blackberry Curve and I wish to transfer email attachments from my Blackberry Curve to my laptop. I wanted to know whether it is possible to do so. And if it is possible then how can I make it possible? Do I need to download any specific application to transfer attachments from my blackberry Curve to my laptop? If anybody is having any information relating this matter please help me. Suggestions are always appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: How to transfer email attachment from Blackberry Curve to laptop

If the attachment file contains audio, video or other data files, you can transfer it from your Blackberry Curve to your laptop by syncing your blackberry device with the laptop. This will require the Blackberry Desktop Manager software. Download the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Manager from the official website of blackberry and then install it in your system. Once you are done installing the software your can sync your mobile with your laptop and transfer any data you want to. You will be able to sync your blackberry to any laptop or computer by using Wireless sync Bluetooth or the usual wired sync.

Re: How to transfer email attachment from Blackberry Curve to laptop

We have got many options regarding transferring data to and from your blackberry Curve and laptop or any computer. You can transfer the data to and from the mobile and the laptop either by using Bluetooth, USB cable or either by using card reader. If the laptop is Bluetooth enabled then you can connect both the mobile and the blackberry together with the help of Bluetooth technology. USB cable can also be used for the same. If both this option is not available because of some reason, then you can use the card reader to transfer to and from mobile to laptop.

Re: How to transfer email attachment from Blackberry Curve to laptop

You can transfer email attachment by following these steps:
  • Save the files you received through email in your Media card or the SD memory card.
  • You can transfer the attachments saved in the Memory card to and from your computer, either by connecting USB cable to the laptop and the mobile phone, or building a connecting through Bluetooth (if both the devices are Bluetooth enabled.)
Make sure your Media card (Memory card) has enabled the mass storage mode. Go to Options >> Media Card and check the following settings.
  • Auto Enable Mass Storage: Yes
  • Media Card Support: On
  • Mass Storage Mode Support: On
If the options are not listed this way then change them to this pattern

Finally, save the settings and exit

Re: How to transfer email attachment from Blackberry Curve to laptop

Thank you for the replies. They really helped me get over my problem. I downloaded the latest version of Blackberry Desktop manager from the official website of Blackberry and installed it in my system. And now I am able to transfer my e-mail attachments, audio, video, photos or any data file from my Blackberry Curve to my computer and also form my computer to my mobile phone. Must say that Blackberry Device Manager is attractive as well as very simple to understand and use. Once again thank you for the help.
