Unlock Motorola C118

I have a Motorola C118, purchased in China, I have not at all attempted to use here in America. I wonder that the phone is unlocked as it was the Chinese version? Is there any method for me to see if the phone is locked or unlocked via the phone itself? I also wonder if I would be able to get a T-Mobile SIM card to work with this phone. I search for this solution on net but can’t find any solution. So please if any of you get any information than please provide me. Thanks for your help.

Do not put any bad unlock codes unlock the Motorola V170 mobile phones. If you enter more than a certain amount of bad unlock codes on your mobile phone, the phone can become hard locked and can sometimes be used.
