Nokia N900: Virtual keyboard is stop functioning in gingerbread

I recently bought a new Nokia N900 cell phone and I installed gingerbread inside it and after installation completed successfully when I restart the cell phone. I come into view that the virtual keyboard is not functioning that from unique gingerbread but a too little (approximately) "keyboard" with tiny buttons which is not functioning after I installed the gingerbread. Anyone else has the same problem and anyone has got the solution then please reply me on this post?

After installing gingerbread did you install the keypad digit fix ? First let's make a map named gingerbread for prospect fasten/update.

root
mkdir /home/usr1/MyDocs/ gingerbread
Download the fix omap_twl4030keypad.kcm.tar (incorporated fix i tarred and add for download at the underneath from the Google and place it in gingerbread folder)
mount /home /and
cd /and/system/usr1/keycharacters/
tar xvf /home/usr1/MyDocs/Gingerbread/omap_twl4030keypad.kcm.tar

You could attempt this experiment to make sure the keyboard sensor is functioning.. the virtual keyboard will simply perform well if the physical keyboard is stopped up. If the sensor is out of order, it might not know the keyboard is essentially closed. Select open and install the package from the android website.

 Now open an x terminal and type these two commands
 sudo gainroot
cat /proc/kmsg/keypad

Now attempt opening and closing the keyboard. Be convinced that it says:
slide (GPIO 71) is now open
when the keyboard is fully opened and says:
slide (GPIO 71) is now closed
just as you begin to close the keyboard

you need to check the above post it not rooted you need to gain the root access first as a root user, but also establish out the characters on the hardware keyboard don't line up, have to select the "c" key for the "/" key not the "v" key.

SD Install,
root
mount /device/mmcblk1p2 /and
cd /and/system/user1/keychars/keypad
tar xvf /home/user1/MyDocs/NITDroid/omap_twl4030keypad.kcm.tar

1. Donwload the file from the android market and it is easily available.
2. Copy the above downloaded files to: /home/user/MyDocs

3. Open x Terminal and type:

root
cd /home/usr1/MyDocs
bzip2 -d gingerbread.tar.bz2
mount /device/mmcblk1p2/keypad /and
cd /and
rm -rf *
tar xvf /home/usr1/MyDocs/gingerbread.tar
cd /home/usr1/MyDocs
dpkg -i nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-07_final1_armel.deb

All, please confirm if above steps are right if installing it to memory card with Nitdroid v0.0.9 already preinstalled.
