Yes, you may be right. It may be software fault. But anyways, before playing with software / firmware, just try to fix it by doing a simple hard reset. To do so, enter the following code : *#7370#. Now enter security password that is 12345 by default,if you have changed than put the desired password. If you still face the same problem, than install Nokia PC Suite on your PC, connect your mobile with the same and do the firmware upgrade. It will be fixed for sure.

i am facing same issue.
there is a blank screen with ma nokia 5130c-2.
now where should i put that password on my screen when it not responding at all. and typing it just like that is not working at all.((
